NetComposer

The heart of
EUTRAC Intelligent Lighting ...

…is the NetComposer. This is the brain which communicates with all system components via three digital control protocols, DALI, DMX and wireless Wi-Fx. Up to 255 NetComposers can be integrated into a building’s network structure, capable of organising and managing around 32,000 lights in total. All lighting fixtures can be assigned into 128 global groups and 128 global light scenes. The practical benefits of the NetComposer: On the one hand, it permits simple, practice-based lighting solutions for up to 128 DALI devices with in two DALI lines via the DALI interface. On other hand, using DMX, which is used for architecture lighting and event technology, with maximum in flexibility and security, fast transfer of data via up to 1024 DMX channels per device. The Wi-Fx standard additionally represents a new wireless option for innovative lighting management. This radio network standard connects 128 end devices per wireless network, based on ZigBee wireless technology.

...benefits
in detail

Setting and recalling the individual light moods and sequences is made extremely user-friendly and intuitive with the NetComposer lighting management software. All component parts of the lighting system can be addressed with just a few clicks of the mouse. By right-clicking the mouse, the light mixing desk will open up. A timer programme with an Astro function handles time-based lighting management automatically. With only one click, effective light settings can be selected, using coloured light or moving light functions. Further the NetComposer software tools include daylight regulation and presence sensors. The main attraction of this software is that, due to its single-window concept, all three control systems DALI, DMX and wireless Wi-Fx can be operated clearly in one window. The mains network disconnection function is another key feature. This entirely eliminates standby load of DALI luminaires (max. 0.5W per luminaire) when they are switched off. If groups of lights are not required, the mains network supply for all this DALI luminaires will disconnected via an integrated relay contact. For a large building containing 32.000 DALI-lights, this will mean a saving on standby energy of up to 100.000 kWh per annum.
